Binderiya holds an Executive Diploma in Organizational Leadership and Strategy from Saïd Business School, Oxford University (Director's Award Scholar), a Master's in Engineering from Tokyo Institute of Technology (JDS Fellow), and an M.Eng in Engineering Mathematics.

Environmental & Social Specialist

An environmental and social specialist with over 20 years of experience working in Mongolia, advising companies, governments and international organisations on ESG, Social Impact Assessment and social risk management.

Her expertise spans stakeholder engagement, human rights due diligence and social risk management, with particular depth in the mining, infrastructure and renewable energy sectors. Her work combines international best practice with deep knowledge of Mongolia's social, cultural and institutional context.

A Departmental Lecturer in Human Geography at the University of Oxford, Dr Ahearn has advised the Government of Mongolia on the development of national Social Impact Assessment guidelines, led social assessments for International Finance Corporation (IFC)-related projects, and undertaken independent research for the IFC Compliance Advisor Ombudsman (CAO).
